Tropical Storm Alex Advisory--Phase 1 Declared for Houston Tower Employees
The Houston Tower has now entered Phase 1 of the Hurricane Response Plan, which means that a storm is within 5-6 days of outer band landfall with a predicted Gulf Coast strike probability from New Orleans to Brownsville.
Tropical Storm Alex is moving slowly toward the north-northwest and is expected approach the southern Texas coast late Wednesday. A tropical storm warning is in effect for the coast of Texas from Baffin Bay to Port O’Connor.
