Alaska Asset Team Update on Mt Redoubt for 3-31-09

Redoubt Volcano Latest Observations
Webcam views are currently showing a low elevation steam-rich plume at the summit and clear weather. This plume may contain very small amounts of ash.
Seismicity at the volcano has been low, but remains above background level. Weak tremor and small discrete earthquakes continue.
Two helicopter-based AVO field crews are flying to Redoubt this today to collect samples and make observations of activity.
