Alaska Asset Team Update on Mt. Redoubt--Alert level Remains at Red, 3/25
Mt. Redoubt Volcano Latest Observations from the Alaska Volcano Observatory Web site (http://www.avo.alaska.edu/activity/Redoubt.php) 2009-3-25 09:24:51 Seismicity has been relatively quiet for the past several hours since a brief explosive event at about 5:12 AKDT this morning. A minor ash plume may have been produced by this event, but it does not appear to have reached more than 15,000 ft above sea level.
2009-03-25 07:39:19 Seismicity has settled back down after the explosion earlier this morning. 2009-03-25 06:30:17 The cloud from the 05:12 AKDT is not visible on radar. It is unlikely that there will be any impact from this event. 2009-03-25 06:07:51 A small explosion occurred at Redoubt volcano at 05:12 AKDT (1312 UTC). The cloud height is estimated to be about 15,000 ft and is drifting north to northwest of the volcano. The event lasted about 10 minutes. ********************************************************
