Alaska Asset Team Update on Mt. Redoubt--Alert Level RED 3/23

The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) recorded four large eruptions at Mt. Redoubt volcano since March 22, the latest at 1:40 this morning. The National Weather Service is predicting little ash to fall in Anchorage at the current time. 

Employees with travel plans to this region should defer plans until more information is known regarding impact to travel into the Anchorage/Kenai region. More detail is also available on the AVO Web site (http://www.avo.alaska.edu/activity/Redoubt.php).
